Teaching Moments by Ms Nikhat Husnain
Sitting at home, you feel you’ve lost touch with your purpose of bringing that small change in your students’ lives as you are not with them.
Alhamdulillah, I am blessed to be associated with the purpose of my educational institution of imparting quality education through excellence, in academics and in our role as teachers.
The experience of online teaching has been surprisingly fulfilling as I strive to learn new tools every day and move towards my personal and professional excellence.
Caught in the whirlwind of day-to-day teaching, I never realized that there are so many tools available to help teachers maximise the learning of their students.
So far, the Zoom lessons and the Google Classroom along with pedagogical tools like Padlet, quizzes with Google Forms, Kahoot, Popplet, etc. have helped me and my colleagues to impart quality lessons to our students.
And, yes, we do have our teaching moments when students share their feedback and when I see them smiling on the screen during Zoom lessons.
May Allah help us with our efforts as we embrace this new constant in our lives and keep us motivated so that continue to play our role as Murabbis.
Aameen.
