Learning Safely from Home by Ms. Ayesha Ahmer

2020 will forever be known in the education community as the year when almost all the world’s schools shut their doors due to the deadly coronavirus pandemic, and by the end of the month, 185 countries had closed, affecting 90 per cent of the world’s students. The speed of these closures and the rapid move to distance learning has allowed little time for planning or reflection on both the potential risks to safeguard against and the potential opportunities to leverage.

Well, these challenges do not affect the norms and educational policies of Generation’s School. Generation’s as a perfect institution has brought the students and teachers closer through distance learning with the help of Online Learning through Google Classrooms. I have experienced Online Learning for the first time as a teacher and in my opinion, it’s a wonderful experience.

Now I can easily communicate with my students and resolve their queries through online learning. They can learn a lot by staying in their homes and taking safety precautions so that their health and education does not affect in any way. This gives me inner satisfaction and contentment that I can’t express. I hope that whatever the situation will be, the learning will continue at Generation’s School Insha’allah!!!
