Generian Wins First Prize!
We’re pleased to announce Marium Iqbal, a student of A Levels, Generation’s School won the First Prize in the Leader in Me New Year Card Competition! Her artwork was among 3000 young artists from 111 different schools and colleges. Marium was declared the Leader of Transition due to her depiction of the theme “Change Starts With Me.” Well Done, Marium!
Participants were asked to submit a description of their artwork. Here’s what Marium wrote:
“Firstly, the individual’s hand and wings of the bird show that each person has the power to choose to bring a change. I have manifested ‘change’ through a bird. Now this change is initially in folds of dream-represented by the first picture. Then it is built upon after which it stands on a foundation (3rd picture). Finally, it is shown flying- meaning it becomes strong enough to encompass the universe (cosmos). This chain is shown in steps meaning a change is brought little by little. Also, each stage is making a curve- signifying that the growth towards change is not constant there is always some hindrance and I will have to spread my wings out of my comfort zone if I want to bring a change.’
‘About the background, which is a painting of the Cosmos, there is a theory that we are made of stardust. Hence, each of us all an equal part of this universe (Cosmos) regardless of our status so we are all capable of making positive changes. The swirls of the cosmos represent the complexity of life and inevitable complications that we might face when making the world a better place.”
Many congratulations to Marium & her family and the very best to all the participants of the competition.
