Online Teaching and Learning at Generation’s

A Guide for Families of Pre-Nursery to Grade IX
Generation’s School will move to Online Teaching and Learning (OLTL) for students from Pre-nursery to Grade IX from Tuesday, 24 March to Tuesday, 31 March 2026.
This step has been planned to ensure continuity in learning and to help students remain connected to their teachers, routines, and learning goals during this period. The School is prepared to carry this transition out in an organised and supportive manner.
What Online Teaching and Learning Means
During OLTL, teaching and learning will continue through digital platforms and online tools identified by the School. Students will attend lessons from home, remain connected with their teachers, and continue with classwork, instructions, and learning tasks according to the routines shared by their respective sections.
Online learning is still school. Students are expected to attend with seriousness, remain engaged, and follow the guidance shared by their teachers and section teams.
What Parents Need to Know
Parents are requested to support this transition by helping students begin with readiness from the first day. A little preparation at home can make online learning smoother and more effective.
Families are requested to ensure the following in advance:
- Zoom is downloaded on the device that the student will use for classes
- The student’s Generation’s School email ID is added and synced on that device
- The email password is available and working
- The student has joined the relevant Google Classroom
- The device is charged, and internet access is stable
- A quiet space is available for the student to attend classes with focus
Expectations from Students
Students are expected to approach OLTL with responsibility and discipline. They should:
- join classes on time
- use the correct student name when logging in
- remain attentive during lessons
- wear the school uniform for added concentration
- participate respectfully
- complete assigned work as instructed
- stay connected to updates shared by teachers and the school
The routines and standards of school remain important in the online setting as well.
The Role of Parents
Parents are not expected to take the place of teachers. Their role is to help establish the conditions that support learning at home. This includes helping younger students settle into routine, checking readiness before classes begin, and ensuring that official school communication is followed regularly.
A calm and supportive home routine can help students feel more confident and focused during online learning.
Further Communication
Section-specific information regarding routines, timings, and instructions will be shared separately through Google Classrooms and official school channels. Parents are requested to stay connected to these updates and complete all readiness steps in advance.
Generation’s remains committed to continuity in learning with experience, foresight, and care. We thank parents and families for their cooperation and partnership in helping students continue learning purposefully during this period.
