A Journey Comes Full Circle

Dr Christine Parker Visits Generation’s School — A Journey Comes Full Circle
Generation’s School had the privilege of welcoming Dr Christine Parker, early childhood expert and mentor to the school’s Founder, Dr Ghazala Siddiqui, for a two-day visit across both its campuses — a reunion that marked more than three decades of growth, reflection, and shared purpose.
In 1990, Dr Parker trained a young educator with no prior experience in education — a course that would lay the foundation for what would later become Generation’s School. Her pioneering ideas in activity-based learning, inclusive practice, and multilingual education shaped not only early classroom practices but also the school’s enduring commitment to learning with joy, inquiry, and empathy.
During her visit, Dr Parker toured the North Campus, revisiting the place where the journey began, and later spent a day at the South Campus, where she observed the evolution of the school’s philosophy into a mature ecosystem of leadership and learning. From the Early Years to the College Programme, she interacted with students, teachers, and leaders, engaging in meaningful conversations about trust-based learning, student agency, and the power of reflection in education.
Speaking about her experience, Dr Parker remarked, “This school isn’t just a school — it’s a living, breathing learning system.” She appreciated the visible leadership and research culture, describing Generation’s as a community that continues to learn from its own practice.
Her visit reminded everyone that true educational impact grows from humility, curiosity, and shared vision. What began as one classroom in 1990 now stands as a vibrant, two-campus institution — one that continues to uphold the ideals of leadership in learning and learning in leadership.
Welcome home, Dr Christine Parker. Your legacy continues to grow.
